Tortuga Rum Cakes Featured in Reader's Digest, Computer Games & More

Reader's Digest calls them "Outrageously Good" and Computer Games says that even the name "screams 'pirate' - and therefore 'gamer gift'." Tortuga Caribbean Rum Cakes are featured in the December issues of these diverse publications' Holiday Gift Guides, as well as in a special promotion in Bon Appetit.

The Supermarket Guru, Phil Lempert chose Tortuga Coconut Rum Fudge as a winner in his "Hits and Misses" feature in the November issue of Gourmet Retailer, saying "this fudge is nothing less than rich and delicious... a treat reminiscent of the most indulgent of times." Tortuga Taste of Florida Rum Fudge also was pictured in the 2007 Gourmet Gift Guide in the November issue of Fancy Food & Culinary Products.

In the November issue of Entrepreneur magazine, Monique Hamaty-Simmonds is quoted in an article on entrepreneurs using mobile technology along with her photograph - holding a Tortuga Caribbean Rum Cake, of course.

"We appreciate this press coverage and the opportunity to introduce more people to our delicious rum cakes, fudge and other gourmet products," says Hamaty-Simmonds, the president and CEO of the Tortuga Rum Cake Company, whose father started the business in the Cayman Islands more than 20 years ago. "With a circulation of over 10 million people, Reader's Digest is one of the most-read publications in the United States. And we are one of the lead products in their feature article 'Great Gifts Under $50'."
