Make Tortuga Your Perfect Treat for Summer

We are happy to welcome the summer season and all the adventures it brings. It's a time of year where memories are shared with friends and family on fun-filled vacations, and small getaways to a familiar backyard. It brings people together for special moments that will always be remembered. Summer is a season you can smell. It is a season you can taste. Salty ocean air, carefree vibes, sunscreen, and a charcoal grill.

Let's share a taste of the Caribbean this summer with Tortuga’s Pineapple Caribbean Rum Cake. It offers the perfect summer pineapple flavor with a true kick of rum. It's an easystand-alone treat, and can be paired with other summer favorites, too!

Try it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! Or maybe relax with a piece while sipping on your morning coffee. Tortuga rum cake offers versatility, but our go-to summer rum cake combo is paired with a refreshing summer drink.

Luckily Women's Day just rounded up 31 Best summer drink recipes that the whole family can enjoy. Check out their pineapple iced tea. We think its the perfect refreshing compliment to our Tortuga Pineapple Rum Cake. Here's our own twist on their recipe -

INGREDIENTS
8 bag green tea
2 sprigs fresh thyme
1/2 fresh pineapple

DIRECTIONS
Bring 4 cups water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Remove from heat and add the tea bags and thyme. Let steep, stirring twice, for 4 minutes. Discard the tea bags and let the tea cool.
Discard the thyme from the iced tea concentrate and stir in the pineapple (tip: keep a few pieces out for garnish) and 4 cups cold water. Serve over ice adding additional thyme, a fun skewer of pineapple and rum cake. Enjoy.
